  • Interactive Blocks

I built out two custom blocks that can be embedded into any layout, post, or page.

Since the hard part is knocked out, we can go back in and give it a bit more style and work on some of the details. All of these are individually editable via the Gutenberg theme editor. The originals are locked down but you can duplicate and place anywhere in a layout.

I added an off-canvas navigation block that’s in the current header. The bottom menus there are controlled by the secondary navigation in the admin.

I added the JavaScript needed to auto-hide the navigation header up scrolling down and returning it upon scrolling up.

  • Editing Pages

I’m also going to keep a log of the project using posts so that we can occasionally use the comments for feedback and references.

Review and edit the current pages.

  • Keeping a Log

I’m just going to keep a log on this site in case we need a place to preview or make comments.

After auditing the existings sites again, I created some basic .txt files from the database backups to start organizing the rebuild.

    • need a list of all media files
      • cut that down into graphics, images, and documents
    • database is cluttered with repeat media
      • media sizes over overly done
      • can likely trim out at least half of them.
    • need a flow chart and a list of duplicate pages
    • need a feature request list
    • loose wireframe the structure before the build
      • nail down the navigation, header, and footer first.
